Growing up in the Cleveland area, there were two Cedar Fair properties my family visited. Cedar Point for the coasters, and Geauga Lake's Wildwater Kingdom for the water park. Wildwater Kingdom was Geauga Lake's water park, that was kept around after Geauga Lake closed in 2007, and Cedar Fair's only standalone water park.
I always found Wildwater Kingdom really fun growing up. I first visited with my summer camp in 2015, and would go back a few times with my family over the next year. Sadly, Cedar Fair made the decision to close the park at the end of the 2016 season.
For being the last operating reminder of Geauga Lake, it was a very fun place to visit. Frequently, I think about how much I miss this park, and of the 3 parks I have visited that have closed, I miss this one the most.
