In June 2026, I would travel to the Boston area with my Mom and Brother to visit Six Flags New England, Canobie Lake Park, and to see the city of Boston itself. Six Flags New England would wind up being our first stop, since it would only be open on the first day of our trip.
We would go on to ride Quantum Accelerator first, since it was the newest ride. It was fun, but not as fun as the next ride we did, Pandemonium. We all agreed that the spin was super fun, and was better then our Wild Mouse. My complaint was that there was no shade over the queue at all.
We went over to ride Sky Screamer, which is their version of Windseaker. We got unlucky, with it going down for wind when we walked up. Sadly, it did not reopen all day. We decided to head over to Wicked Cyclone, since it was right next door.
We took a lunch break, which was at the BBQ place by QA. It was pretty good, was indoors with AC, AND it has freestyle machines.
By now, I had ridden my 298th coaster, and I was aiming to make Superman my 300th. To do that, I had to ride Gotham City Gauntlet: Escape from Arkham Asylum. It is one of the worst coasters I have ever ridden. It rides roughly on the rails, hurts on the turns, and if removed I would not care. However, this means that I was now at 299 lifetime coasters. Superman: The Ride would be my 300th coaster.
Before leaving for the day, we rode Scream, and The Great Houdini, and grabbed one reride on Quantum Accelerator. After a stop at the gift shop, we left for the day.
Six Flags New England was a really enjoyable charm. It has a lot of charm I haven't ever felt at a legacy SF park before. It feels closest to Dorney Park, except its much flatter then Dorney. The rides were fun, and seeing Joker while in line for...the Joker was awesome. A few areas need some cosmetic work, especially in the DC area. But the main plaza looks like a classic amusement park. For the first day of our trip, Six Flags New England was the best way to start the trip.
