I first learned about Fun Spot Atlanta sometime in Early 2023, right around when they opened their headliner atraction, ArieForce One. Back then, I never had a reason to visit the park, or Atlanta, since I didn't have the money or the ability to travel solo.
I first visited Atlanta in April 2025, when I went to Six Flags Over Georgia. We didn't have time to visit Fun Spot, and we were bummed. My first visit to Fun Spot Atlanta was on November 14th, and I managed to get 9 laps in 35 minutes on ArieForce. I would return with Gavin and Taylor on March 28th, getting a lap on Sea Serpent, Hurricane, and 4 laps on ArieForce. Both visits I noticed how dead the park was, and I had worries the park would not last much longer.
Thursday June 25th, 2026, would prove my fears, when Fun Spot Atlanta announced they were closing for good on August 2nd. Luke and I quickly booked flights to visit one last time, to capture the memories of this tiny little park.
Fun Spot Atlanta was a weird park. It was layed out weirdly, and wasn't the prettiest park. It needed a lot of work to compete with its sisters in Orlando and Kissemmee. I liked its charm during my spring visit, seeing the lights during the sunset, and the grass was a nice touch. But you could tell the park was not long for this world, especially since it needed so much work. I will miss ArieForce One, and I will miss this little Atlanta stop, but I am glad I had the opprotunity to visit.
