Working at Cedar Point has the greatest job perk in the world. You can visit and enjoy the park when you're off the clock. When we closed early on May 23rd, my supervisors Jaden, Madison, and Rycor, invited me to hang out at the park for a few hours on a cold, rainy, Saturday. While the weather wasn't good, we had a great time.
We met up at Point Plaza, and decided to walk over to Gatekeeper to get a ride in. The line was alright, it just took awhile due to poor operations. After riding, we saw that Magnum, which had been closed all season up to this point, had finally opened. We walked over only to find it was on 1 train. We decided after that we would not ride.
We would decide to walk around a little to see what had a short line, and we all commented how TT2 was surprisingly running in the weather. After seeing how busy Frontier Town was, we decided to go ride Millennium Force.
Taking an evening to ride a few rides with my supervisors was a fun way to spend the night. Last year I didn't get many chances to get to know my superiors, so this was a welcomed way to get to know them. While it sucked having the park close 2 hours earlier than originally planned, when Rycor and I left it was super empty. This was a good way to really kickoff my experince at Cedar Point, not just going up riding 1-2 coasters in about an hour before the park closes.
