Cedar Point Winter Chill Out 2025

Every year Cedar Point holds a behind the scenes tour of the park for charity during the off season. Every year since 2022, I tried to go, with no luck. 2025 would be my first visit, going with Audrey, my dad, and Taylor. I got to see many areas for the first time, and it helped familiarize myself with the backstage areas of the park before working at Cedar Point for my first summer.

Starting the day, I would meet my dad at Cedar Point for the tour. We would start our tour heading to see the new Siren's Curse trains, and passing by the Siren's Curse construction on the way. We commented how industrial the tilt track looks, and how quickly they are getting the ride together.

Getting to the former TTD hydraulic building, we would get to see the brand new Siren's Curse front car, playing music through its onboard speakers. Following, we would head to the signshop, where I got to see many things, including the Mean Streak sign.

After the sign shop, we got to head over to the railroad and Siren's Curse sites, passing by the former Snake River Falls ride area. It was rather empty, and I do miss the old water ride. The construction views of Siren's was also really cool, seeing the imposing tilt tower over the midway.

After walking all around and back again to head to the maintanence building (the midway past Siren's was closed) we made it to the rides workshop. We got to see a lot of rides in the middle of their winter overhauls, such as Millennium Force's trains, and Magnum XL-200. We even got to see the former Top Thrill Dragster main control panel. It was neat pressing the dispatch button on a real panel. This was the last major stop before lunch, and it was very cool.

At the end of the day we made a note to say goodbye to our 150th enterance sign. They announced at the Q&A that it was going away, being replaced finally with a new enterance sign. Being there since 2019(?) it was sad to see the last piece of the big celebration go away.
