Hello June! We are somehow nearing the half way point for 2026...and I am sick. I also have hiccups as I write this update. Today I go get fitted for a suit, which will be fun. I also get to go to Scooters!

Woah, a rare double post.
I went suit shopping today, and it went pretty ok. I hate suit jackets, since I don't like how restrictive they can be movement wise. However it was fun dressing up and looking good, I finally understand why Kayla made me go clothes shopping with her in Berlin back in 2023. It took a little bit, but when it was all said and done, I felt pretty good with my choices.
The long awaited return to Scooter's was wonderful. It feels much longer then it really has been since my last visit. I got my favorite, the Top Dawg. Going there with my grandparents was also a nice touch. Overall today was an ok day.
I have been reading in the news recently about this Bricks and Minifigs store situation. I really don't know too much, but its crazy.
Yesterday I got to help Nate build a new cabinet after work, it made me feel manly. Today, I worked a nice 12hr shift. Tomorrow, Mom and Nathan are coming out for Coastermania 2026, and I might get to work at Plaza instead of where I normally work to assist with the Coastermania work.
I have been thinking about many things recently. On my way home from work today, I got to see the golden light of the sunset, and it made me remember visiting growing up. It was a lovely drive home
Coastermania was a blast to work yesterday. I didn't even realize it was 1pm when my break finally came around, it was that fun to work. After work, I rode TT2 with my mom and brother, before they left back for CLE to catch a plane to Boston.
Nate and I got walking tacos at Derby Dogs after they left, and we rode Cedar Downs and Ocean Motion. Nate really liked Cedar Downs, and it surprised them that it raced along the circuit, not just a normal carousel.
Today, is Big Boy day and Taylor's grad party. I am about to leave for Fostoria, to see the train. Until I get back from Boston, I won't have my laptop, I am leaving it in Sandusky. I will probably not update until I return, so until 6/10 (earliest) I will be MIA. I am very excited for the next few days, and I cannot wait to write the trip reports.
The last few days were really fun! The many different sights and sounds were so much fun to experience, and I will be writing some pages to go indepth later.
Saturday, after I wrote my last update, I left for Fostoria Ohio to see Big Boy 4014. I made it there just after noon, and I would sit at a corner that overlooked the interchange diamond in the tracks. I waited 2 hours, but it was all worth it, as at 2:20 pm the Big Boy steamed past.
After Big Boy left, I would go on the 2hr drive to visit Taylor and go to their grad party. I went for 2 hours, and it did rain the entire time. I wish Taylor and I could have had a conversation, but it was lovely to talk to some of Taylor's thoosie friends. The food was good, and the cake was delish. After I left, I went to my dad's house. Sunday I flew to Boston, and went to Six Flags New England. It was a very good day. Monday we went to Canobie Lake Park, and that was also a good day. After, we went to downtown Boston and saw some of the sites on the Freedom Trail. Tuesday, we did a food tour in Boston, and visit other sites on the Freedom Trail, including Bunker Hill.
Nathan and I flew home to CLE Wednesday afternoon, and after getting our suits adjusted, I went home to Sandusky to go to ride night. I went with Jaden, and we rode TT2 x2, Corkscrew, and Magnum, before the evening got cut short for a thunderstorm.
It has been hot recently, and work was fun with the heat. I got put in charge of a shop today, as a test regarding my leadership skills. It was a fun day.
Did some work on the site today. Some of the changes include:
- Updated internal organization for Antics pages.
- Began working on New England '26 pages.
- Removed several disused test sites.
- Removed Park Hub page/buttons. This hub felt very redundent especially with the Park Visits 'xx pages existing. I may revisit this concept one day should too many pages exist.
- Cleaned up code on several pages during updates.
Overall, these small changes help keep things consistent, and better organzied. More work regarding optimization will follow soon, I need to learn how CSS works.
HAPPY 4 MONTH ANNIVERSARY NATE!! I love you so much and I can't wait to see Disclosure Day with you tonight, and I hope you like your gift!!
I am currently on the Dayton trip with Dad, Nathan, Grandma & Grandpa. We are having a very good time down here. Today we went to Tudor's Biscut World, The Air Force Museum, and Buc-ee's. I will write a more detailed trip report later.
Saturday, Nate and I saw Disclosure Day in theaters. It was pretty good, and the movie was very well done. I would recommend seeing it.
The rest of our day was pretty fun! We got dinner about an hour after I wrote the previous entry. After, we went to this place downtown to play bowling, but they didn't allow Nathan in since he was under 21. Mind you, the rest of us are over 21, and I get the rules exist for a reason, I found it odd they were so harsh when it was pretty dead. We went to Scene 75 instead, and had a great time. We witnessed someone get escorted out by police, but she wasn't arrested it seems. I hope she is alright.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE!! I love you so much and PARTY HARD!!!!
I have dubbed this week "Chaos Week" for my work at Cedar Point. Let me list why:
We did a group photo at work today, all of Area One leadership. I'm waiting to hear back from Jaden for the picture. Work today otherwise was busy, but fun. My mouth has had a funny taste all day, and I don't know why. I hope it goes away soon.
I am offically being promoted to Supervisor of Cedar Point Shores Retail! I am very excited for the promotion, especially since I have been working very hard to get promoted. I am sad to leave Area One, but I don't mind, I might be sent back in the fall. To celebrate, Nate and I went to see Toy Story 5 in theaters, and Monday night I celebrated with Caroline by getting some barrels and bites at Cedar Point.
I tried to pay my electric bill today, and I got a credit from something, which I didn't know about so my bill was free. Now I can use that money to buy more stupid coaster merch.
Lastly, I finally got the Area One leadership photo, and I will link it down below.
I spent most of the day redoing the back end to make the CSS more streamlined. I calculate I simplified close to 10,000 lines of code, using various tactics. Its still a WIP, but I expect to have it finished soon. I need to rework the blog pages, and trip header pages, before I am done.
I also plan to rework a handful of pages to help with load times, since several trip pages made in Feb 2026 are not consistent with any style I want to use long term.
I learned about two very interesting things today, from claims that sounded so out there that I didn't believe the people who told me.
The first thing I learned today is that Fun Spot America Atlanta is closing for good at the end of the 2026 season. While I have only visited this park twice (with a third visit planned for Nov. 2026) it makes me sad that its closing. I will write a page documenting it before its gone.
The second thing I learned is that my former classmate and someone I looked up to, Jason Edwards, has passed away in a car accident after his Jeep Patriot flipped and exploded. He was 2 grades above me, and he was a cool person to hang out with. May he rest in peace.
Ride night last night was really fun. I went with the Area One leadership, which was a good time. Sadly, we only managed to get one ride on Maverick. I rode with SC, who is technically from Area Two, but they were really hyped to ride Maverick. I also saw Kurt yesterday evening before ride night, and we got a nice night ride on TT2, with it finally being back on 3 train ops.
I believe I have finally finished reworking pretty much ALL the webpages on this site to use better coding. I went through and made a couple master CSS files to make everything consistent. I haven't made files for the Phase III pages, but thats the last one I need to do.
Lastly, I am going to get my new teal shirts today. I need to do that ASAP so I can finally be ready for my new role as supervisor.
Fun Spot Atlanta is offically closing on August 2nd, 2026. I am very sad that this park is closing for good, and I have booked a trip to visit one last time with Luke in July. ArieForce One is one of my favorite coasters of all time, so this SUCKS. This will be the 3rd park I have visited since I started visiting amusement parks to close, with Wildwater Kingdom and Six Flags America closing in 2016 and 2025 respectively.
I also got my teal shirts finally, and this morning I got a picture in front of the Cedar Point sign before we opened. I officially start on Monday, but I will link the picture below.
I've had a funny feeling in my throat for about 2 days now. It feels like something is stuck, like a pill. I can confidently say it is probably not a pill.
I wrote up a page to memorialize Fun Spot Atlanta, since it is confirmed to be closing. I will get around to writing pages for Wildwater Kingdom, CGA, and possibly Six Flags America soon. I still struggle to believe that they're closing Fun Spot Atlanta.
Tomorrow is my last day in Area One, and the Good Time III cruise. I am very excited for both, especially since I haven't been on the Goodtime III since the 3rd grade.
Today is my first day as A3Z2 Supervisor! I am a little nervous, but ultimately excited to finally, and offically, be a supervisor. I didn't think I would be a supervisor so soon, especially since its only my second season at Cedar Point, but I cannot complain. I will miss my friends and superiors back in A1, but I know I can visit them from time to time, especially since they are on my way in and out of work.
Yesterday's Goodtime III cruise was a lot of fun! We sailed down the Cuyahoga River until collision bend, before turning around and sailing on the lake for a bit. We saw the American Courage approaching Cleveland Harbor as we were returning to the dock. Afterwards, we got dinner at the Mexican place just across the pier from the boat. It was good.
Recently I have been thinking about Jason. I knew who he was growing up, he was two grades above me. In middle school and high school, I began to get to know him more. He played saxophone in band, and in vocal, he would help the bass section practice music. He was always very chill. and he had an influence on helping me fir in better, and also come out of my shell a little bit. I haven't spoken to him since the summer of 2022, simply because we weren't friends, but it still feels odd knowing he is gone. Part of me feels like I am not allowed to feel sad, because I wasn't that close to him, but it feels very close to home. Jason Edwards, you were a good man, and a great singer. If only I could have had the courage to tell you how you impacted me to your face.
His passing has also made me think about how I would feel if someone closer to me passed. When it comes to my peers, only 3 people I knew have passed. I knew all 3 to a point, but they weren't my closest friends. I worry that I could lose someone closer to me. How would I feel if Luke died? or Audrey? or Aidan? or Taylor? or heaven forbid I lost Nate? It's something that has been keeping me up at night the last few nights.
Yesterday was HOT, and its only hotter this week. Its so hot that Audrey and I are going to go to the beach for a bit today. But, in terms of my first day, I thought I did really well. I only had one issue that I had to deal with, but it worked itself out. Tash and Will are my other supervisors, and they are very friendly. Kayln is my new Sr. Supervisor, and she is also very kind. I am just a bit of a wreck since I am unfamiliar with the area. But the waterpark isn't all that bad, it has its perks. I'll get Gator privilages soon, and I also get to oversee so much of how the waterpark works. Although I will admit, I do miss my Area One. I miss Jaden and Madison specifically. I also miss my associates, because I felt connected to them in a way that I believe most other areas don't. However, being in A3 is good for growth.
I had an idea today to look into backdating the blog a little bit. I want to see how I could go about taking my old video blogs from thr early 20s, and turing the transcripts into blog posts on here. The years date from 2020-2024, so I could add a few years of thoughts to the site. I have no idea how I would do it, but I need to research into it before I make a final decison. I also know that I will link each video to the blog post, so one could watch the original video if they wanted.
The beach today was really fun. Audrey and I went out and swam for a bit, and it was pretty fun. Afterwards I went to the mall for a little bit.
I have also decided I will be uploading the transcripts of my old vlogs into the blog. Its largely unformatted, but eventually I may go back and attempt to fix everything. I am nearly done with the 2020 year, and when I am I will open it up to be viewed. It will allow people to see my thoughts a little better, going back farther.
