Gaming Consoles Are Obsolete
hello beautiful world of youtube it's me your boy and host alex uh alex yeah anyways uh today i think i said this on saturday in the saturday video but i said i want to talk about gaming consoles and why i kind of don't like them i think they're obsolete they really are i'm going to start back in the 70s and 80s when atari nintendo and sega ruled back in 70s and 80s that type of technology i mean computers weren't that strong so having a separate console made sense i mean you
have your vcr player in your console made sense albeit not very practical but it made sense having these these different separate consoles now moving into the 90s computer technology was just starting to get better where you could you know make it one but people didn't yet and i understand that i mean computers you know they still need to you know handle the multi sets like we had the super nintendo nintendo 64. sega genesis dreamcast uh i think the playstation
one even came out then too atari was gone by then sadly atari is pretty cool and i mean i found right that 64 was the most powerful console to market in the 90s now you know entered early 2000s you know we have some cool consoles you know like the gamecube and uh we have the xbox look at the playstation 2 as well anyways we moved a little farther you know like this is when gaming consoles like early 2000's when gaming consoles might never became absolute
obsolete because you had computers that were powerful enough to do both you know computing and play games you just plug in the controller with a usb to the computer it made sense it's the only console that stands out to me in my argument here that consoles are obsolete and a waste of money is one of the few examples is the nintendo wii this bad boy in my opinion was actually kind of practical sure i mean it wasn't as powerful as the rest of the boys
but you have to remember sorry i put it down safely is that the wii motion controls and it was its entire purpose it it made sense like yeah you could get a work out of it like some of the aspects of the wii were actually practical you could use them unlike the xbox or playstation i think that's why they actually installed dvd drives you actually weren't getting those consoles which to be fair made sense i mean why would you want to spend four or five six hundred dollars on the
console if it can't even run dvds and then a little bit more 2010 2012 you know we got the xbox one playstation 4 the wii u we don't talk about it there is no wii u there will never be a wii u doesn't exist and i mean i was just thinking about it okay like then that's when gaming consoles really became obsolete last effort they put blu-ray drive in them they added internet browsing like you know your console is dying when you need to have like web browser and and blue
blu-rays and in your device really doesn't make much sense that's not like the mental cognitivity of joe biden there for a second oops oh well too bad suffer boys and you know now modern day we have the the nintendo switch the ps5 which in the xbox series uh xns in my opinion the only console of the of these three is the nintendo switch the and then the switch is the only one it's not obsolete reason being the idea that where you could plug it into your tv like a moment's
notice you could pause it pull it out your tv completely ingenious like that's just like wii u gamepad but you can actually use it as like something you could carry around it's just so smart i love it that's why nintendo switch is not obsolete because you could do that beforehand it made like the consoles they're literally just computers but you can't even run like windows or linux you can't it's dumb and i don't like that but with nintendo being smart and you know what you know
what we'll make it you can move it around it might not be as powerful you can move around i love it it's ingenious that's why i think in my opinion it was the only console it's not obsolete but meanwhile meanwhile we have to remember that like again console or obviously latest which is basically a glorified tablet sorry these otherwise you really don't need a switch like the switch
you could play most of those games on a computer like even probably even chromebooks some of them but no you still buy a computer like a console and a computer it's impractical now i used to think gaming or just pcs in general on the way out because of phones no i i still my opinion computers are very important that's why i have you know the good old trusted beige box down here unfortunately i need a new video card for her i believe anyone has a video card uh from

Election, Coof, and Alex Trebek
hello wonderful world of youtube it's it's been a minute also known as two days since the last uploaded but that was a scheduled upload i scheduled it like on monday in that time a lot of things happen we had an election we had an election determined by the media none of the states have actually released their pulling information and we've had the unfortunate death of alex trebek crazy crazy week i know actually just today my school announcer going remote for
two weeks fun fun fun yeah half the teachers are out today um it was it was weird the last time so many teachers were out was when my old music teacher passed away six years ago but yeah enough about that the election so according to the media joe biden won the election on the 7th of november 2020 sure they called it but none of the states have actually released their information it's kind of funny no one no state has actually confirmed their votes the oh i i i think
there might be one i don't know i don't feel like checking myself so if i'm wrong comment below as of whatever and it was it was a rough few days everyone was like hey uh uh please please win one candidate or the other very interesting i will say i was personally rooting for kanye real shame he only got 60 000 votes real same however it is what it is and then you know the memes about nevada taking a gosh darn long time to actually do its thing has to be the funniest
thing i've ever seen i will admit but i will say i personally think that well technically none of the states have actually declared their winners yet doesn't matter you know what all these things go one way or the other it doesn't matter it's all just called by the associated press i i don't know and then saturday and then sunday alex trebek passed away if you don't know who alex trebek is first of all are you living under a rock second of all have you ever watched jeopardy because
that's a dude who holds jeopardy and he's dead he died at 80 from cancer and i don't know if i can actually watch jeopardy after after his last episode i don't think i can legitimately watch jeopardy ever again i think that might be the i don't think i could watch jeopardy with a new host because that dude i really wish i could meet him because he sounded like such a nice he sounded like a genuine guy it's a real shame that he passed away i always saw him on tv when i
was growing up with the man who asked questions when i was young i mean it's true he always asks questions i have very fond memories of eating the drumstick ice cream cones watching jeopardy with my parents i wish she was i didn't actually know he was 80 fun fact i thought he was younger he looked like he was in the 60s maybe young 70s i don't know he was 80 but it's a shame he's passed away but i'm actually now going to go right back to the beginning topic this
video is a mess a lot of things are a mess in my life school walking to school today notice nothing two students are out but they're always out like they're always like late so i didn't really care and then second period same thing didn't know anything third period nothing fourth period nothing fifth period when i noticed everything was starting to go downhill my algebra teacher was out and we were being subbed by the honors biology teacher you know something's
messed up when your honors biology teacher i don't have a person but the honors biology teacher was teaching alex number two and after that i heard that my vocal teacher was out and everything was going downhill it was just wild i think there's like 30 kids quarantined right now 30 after a nice uptick like about two three weeks ago now it's kind of scary tomorrow i start my online and i'm waking up at 7 30 in the morning gonna log in by 8 4 7 45 for my classes i can
care less i'm waking up at 7 30. i'm going to gain an extra hour and a half of sleep oh yeah but this last week has been the most interesting week in my life one week ago this is reminding me a lot of when school shut down back in march that weekend before the shutdown i had a vocal concert it actually wasn't a concert it was actually performance for like a state competition we actually made it to states we would have actually participated in states we never did you're
canceled and i remember very vividly that day that last saturday before everything went downhill started off going to the vocal performance and singing and we did really good we were good enough to go to states in fact the choir director she bought us all ice cream for doing so good and it was amazing after that i went to my brother's birthday party at topgolf which is just on the road for me and it was really fun and then that week that week after things started going
downhill monday was fine tuesday now monday correction my history teacher is a little paranoid and she told us all what to do if we go remote interesting i know then tuesday happened and we went to a couple universities as a tour it was actually really fun and then the day after things got worse a bunch of the university we actually went to closed and the teachers were telling us what to do we go online and then thursday happened after school thursday we were all told to bring
everything home i packed everything in my locker in my bag and they're like oh we're gonna go remote governor now's our walking home that we were going online for three weeks it was scary i mean at the time i thought oh i see my friends in three weeks hey i had vocal practice or drama club practice that thursday night nothing for friday because we actually had friday off little did i know that'd be the last time i see my friend most of my friends in months and now i'm wondering
if that's gonna be the same thing happening now it's kind of scary to think that i i might be living a race a repeat of history i don't think i can do it i really don't i could do it once i do not think i can do it again anyways yeah that's my little rambling for today this is alex cushionman signing out see you guys later

Channel Update
hello wonderful world of youtube i'm making another up not really another but an update video i guess kind of on the state of the channel this might look bad at first but it's really not so this video's only going to be like two minutes long i'll be surprised if it goes longer and to start i'm pretty happy where i am right now 30 subs and i don't know i got some i just like it i mean and i started making this channel i didn't think i get more than maybe 12. 32. not a bad number but uh
yeah thank you guys for subscribing if there was a 30 subscriber reward i would be claiming it right now but there isn't because youtube only cares about people who make a hundred thousand and above i think it should be a thousand subscribers that's that's pretty impressive uh oh another thing if i get 50 subscribers by the end of the year which i'm confident i will if i can get 50 subscribers by the end of the year i'm going to make my discord server go live i started
working on it the other day because i was like you know it'd be nice to have it ready so that if i ever hit the subscriber count it's there but um if i can get 50 bites into this year december 31st 2020 uh 11 59 59 p.m eastern time i'll make it go live and put give you guys a link it's a fun server uh it's currently just me and my friends just beta testing it um but it's pretty sweet um what else i want to tell you guys about oh uh i'm thinking about doing a club video of a friend of
mine she wants to start a youtube channel i'm thinking i might do a club video with her in the near future so uh by that that happens you guys will know about it and i guess one last thing i've been thinking about doing is a proper city tour video the first one i made was pretty bad but i just got a video editing software which is really bad but uh it means my videos now i might start editing out long pauses which is great for everyone in the end also i have another surprise in
store if i get high enough um it's a pretty nifty surprise i think you guys are gonna like it but if i get 100 subscribers um let's see i started this channel like a month ago so by april like six months anniversary of this channel if i get a hundred subscribers then i'm gonna release some old old content i made for school that uploads this channel a while back so i could just send the link to my teacher anyways yeah put it simply i'm happy where i am with youtube i would love to

One month of Uploading (and what I learned)
hello wonderful world of youtube it's alex and uh today it's a very important day for everyone well i don't ever have one but for me a month ago today i started actually uploading youtube videos i'm actually going to link in the description ramblings number one which i got that was a long time ago i made that video but yeah one month of action making videos and this this month actually the five year anniversary of my youtube account account being a thing i said do

Thanksgiving while camping
hello wonderful world of youtube it's alex and today i'm going to be talking to you guys about the wonders and glories of the thanksgiving camp out now one weekend i went camping with my boy scout troop excuse me and we had things in campus we roll up friday uh we're in a cabin because it's kind of easier to cook in a cabin and you know we gotta get our stuff set up nothing really much happen we did a night hike pretty cool we went to pioneers point to point our
campground the farthest on the one side and it was pretty cool it was night you could see the entire valley and yeah pretty sweet we wake up next morning and the cook burned our entire breakfast he burned the hash browns he burned the bacon he burned the sausage he burned the eggs how do you burn everything i was so disappointed and then we went on our hike we were supposed to eat on the trail we got to the spell we wanted to eat a little earlier than
expected it's like huh okay what are we gonna do we decided we're gonna wait and we continue go hiking and we hiked and we realized we were hungry because breakfast was well stuff and so then afterward we went back to camp after our hike we had about six miles we got back in around two we had a fire outside um it actually lasts until about eleven twelve it's pretty sweet but then you know what we hung out we did some games and then we had to make the sides
for thanksgiving adults always make the turkeys we make the side dishes i was in charge of mashed potatoes uh and potatoes and beef make beef we had baked beans for the mashed potatoes pretty good and then afterward we had thanksgiving dinner it was really really really really really fun i must say i really enjoyed it so and then you know we wake up next morning we pack up and head out it was fun uh the camp we went to is called cam tuscaloosa they're like a
hundred years old it's pretty sweet shout out to them for making our camps our camp just awesome but like i must say they're like camping's really fun in scouts i really enjoy it one of the things i don't understand though is kind of like why we don't do it more often i guess you know not really sure but one of the things that i learned i guess this weekend while camping for thanksgiving was how to just lay back a little bit like i'm an eagle scout i i don't have to do
anything anymore basically i'm basically set i don't need i don't have any more requirements i can do merit but i just want to get my eagle palms but i don't have to do anything so yeah i mean you can't be this i actually i'm going to go segwaying into something else at the same time so uh all right one of my recent videos i made a room tour i made it last tuesday it was probably the funniest video i've ever made i have to actually give a shout out to calm prisoner do you

Road Trip Story
hello wonderful world of youtube it's alex today i actually got a lot of talks i just got home from a really really fun trip to tennessee anyways to start um yeah i'm a little sorry about uh not posting for a week that's on me i wednesday i was busy packing for the trip and school and and friday i was well on the trip and didn't have any time but yeah well i'm sorry about that but we're going
to start off with my trip to tennessee so what happened well we left thursday morning i had to do my first two classes because i actually was able to attend them and then i had i couldn't because i was going to be in a car for like 12 hours something like that and as we drove down to we stopped in the actual friday night but you know we drive out and there's some cool things like you know we saw lots of traffic going north and had a good time we uh drove by flo the florencial
water tower a fun little thing to see and we also drove by some pretty cool things like the grand ole opry house and the uh what is it oh and uh i think oh kings island and i also believe kentucky kingdom i could be wrong about the last one though but anyways beside the point we you know went down we had dinner in a german restaurant food was like we ordered and like five minutes later it was out it was it was awesome and it was pretty good i had some sausage and i was
hoping for meatloaf i didn't have any pretty sad but then we went back to the hotel relaxed and went to bed friday we finished driving we actually didn't uh not tennessee we also went to mississippi for a bit we went to a city called kornuth i think how you say it and it's a nice little town uh in mississippi and something i found odd about mississippi slash tennessee is their very very lacks mask rules because they don't have any um it's at least my knowledge oh tennessee
doesn't it was just weird it felt like i went back in time by about a week or two or like a year now it was kind of weird a little bit going back well not really going back i've never been there before but it felt like i was going back in time i went to this place called bucks bar i think it was bucks girl bar and grill really good place i got like this grilled cheese with brisket on it and it was the best grilled cheese i've ever had very very good the fries are also pretty good too they're cut in
like a spiral kind of i like in the shape of a spring no there's a pasta noodle that's like that it's like if i could find a picture of the pasta no no i'll post another video but yeah fries are pretty good and we were we went around the corner because there's a civil war battle there that's actually why we went down it was pretty cool um we learned about it and then we were driving back to our hotel they were well we didn't check into the hotel because we weren't staying in the same
hotel i said nashville we were staying in a hotel near shiloh and cornish and we stopped at a flea market where i got what i put okay we got i bought i found and bought a clone trooper helmet uh it was made by hasbro about a couple i think like 10 12 years ago now you might notice the visor's a bit big and there's this guy online i'm actually about to place an order for advisor modification to make the visor smaller and more movie accurate it's pretty cool though that's
why i bought it it was like 20 bucks pretty cool kind of weird thing about to buy on a road trip to a civil war battlefield anyways yeah and then we went back to hotel we had dinner at the catfish hotel it was a restaurant where i tried catfish now catfish sounds really disgusting but it is the most bland fish i've ever had it was so bland it actually needed tartar sauce which is okay i actually panicked for a little bit thought maybe i had crown virus but no no it was just because it
was really bland and after that we went to the hotel watching uh tv and went to bed and then uh saturday we went to shiloh shadow was pretty cool i mean we uh walked around the visitor center which is despite the fact that shiloh is a national military park its visitor center was significantly smaller than the one at corneth and we finished in like an hour and we drove around for about two around the park we saw some cool monuments honoring the union and a
little bit of the confederate soldiers who died i mean granted the confederacy was not good but you still need to be respectful because it's someone's dead body it's kind of rude so that was fun and and then after about that we started driving up to bowling green where we stayed last night and we went up there it was fun we actually had dinner at the hotel because they were giving like a complimentary uh hot meal for dinner it's pretty nice there's pasta chicken and salad really
really good again we kind of just chilled out oh oh how could i forget after we left shiloh we went to the diner let's go i forgot the name i think it was like kokomoto or something like that it was a really good tiny little diner 50s themed and because of tennessee's very last mass command it felt like you went back in time although it's kind of scary i i will admit it was weird i mean you know everything that's happened last year you would i guess be familiar per se it was a strange
experience but i just brushed it off and we kind of just you know i had a burger there with some fries pretty good and then we got head up to bowling green and and then today we drove back we encountered some mild traffic going through cincinnati because cincinnati isn't cincinnati's not fun i apologize i'm from cleveland i don't think i've ever said that but yeah uh and we started a flea market where i bought two lego figures i will show you guys i don't feel like getting up to

Online school sucks
hello wonderful world of youtube today you know doing online school work which is where you can kind of see sunlight peeking through the lights there but you know i'm doing schoolwork and i realized that be quite honest it's online school is it it has its ups and downs to doing it unlike like everything has it up and down so now i've been going to regular school for gosh like three months then we had to go back online bit sucky i know but uh it was it like one of the problems
going in school was like you have to wake up so early actually well i don't i could theoretically get up at seven and be right by 7 20 which is when my bus comes so i could actually wake up at something like a regular elementary school kid but i don't because i'm lazy lazy lazy lazy yeah anyways um i'm liking you another problem with a good thing with spot schools you see people in person and one of the things i do kind of miss you seeing my friends i know if you guys are
watching i'm looking at i don't know if i can say names if you guys are watching any of my friends comment below please i think you know who you are um you know the school online has its it's perks like i can kind of wait like one day they're not doing calls i can wake whatever the hell i want i can wake up at 10 20 afternoon as long as you get my work done that no one cares i can wake up at a six i wanted to do work uh i mean oh oh another nice thing is took a road trip

I bought Fall Out 76 for $0.25
hello wonderful world of YouTube it's me Alex today is Black Friday my dad's birthday uh Lego announced a new modular building and the day I finally have bought Fallout 76 yes I'm moving up in the gaming world I bought Fallout 76 here for a quarter one 25 cents I bought it 25 cents unopened it's just incredible bad game very bad game so um yeah I don't even have plans to open it because it's just I've heard the things it's a bad game but yeah anyway yesterday was
Thanksgiving pretty unusual I was at my mom's house and it was just us nor like I go to my grandfather's house and but this year that wasn't an option he didn't feel comfortable because of his cancer and I don't blame him but you know things we did our own thing it was good though that we watch uh Rango afterward and Borat two very good movies honestly uh yeah today's Black Friday went to a bin store which is why I was able to buy Fallout 76 for quarter because it
was 25 cent day and that's why we bought it we thought it was so hilarious they had Fallout 76 and they had copies everywhere we found copies for the Xbox One the PS4 PC I almost bought uh couple copies of the PS4 version just for the hell of it um because you know you know it's so cheap I even I bought um a flag that says Saturday so for the boys on it I'm G to hang in my room uh and I also found a um an airpod like protective case that's pretty sweet but yeah
anyway uh I got home I start watching his live stream Lego is doing they were you know doing a recap of all the sets kind of like a advertising thing but here's the thing they were announcing a new modular building and everyone was very very excited I remember everyone was spamming now the announcement ended at noon which right now it's 12:30 but the funny thing is they accidentally put the set live an hour early on their website and it's a police station some of you
may not like the idea of like doing a police station and yeah I know police may be corrupt in some areas other places it's not in like other countries I'm not talking about like United States um but you have to remember they said this set took them two years to design they start designing this set in 2018 I'm going to be honest with you I they said when this happened back in may they said they had they don't have much of a choice you can't make a set like that in six
months these sets require this set has 3,000 pieces it's a big set you can't like if it was something small like I don't know like a little $20 $10 car set you buy for your City yeah you might be able to redesign something like that in a couple weeks in fact you probably could just strip all the police stuff off and call a day no you can't do it with a giant set so yeah that's what's happening it's pretty sad but like I mean it's cool it's 50 stop I'm getting a day one because I I've

The journey to the LEGO store
hello wonderful world of lego today i have a story for the ages and it's the long and hilarious quest to lego stores so today i woke up and we had plans to well we plans last night we started last night uh i was talking to my mom and she wanted to get a couple of the christmas crater sets they did they have a gingerbread house a uh an elf clubhouse and a fire station oddly enough and she was asking if we could go up and see if that any in stock and and she was like
okay yes sir so we mean my dad we went there this morning my brother he's lazy he didn't want to go we thought i misread the hours i thought it's a 10. but that wasn't the hours no uh those hours were for like black friday the actual hours were actually noons we roll up there like 9 30 like ah shoot there's nothing so we kind of got bored he's like well we're not going to stay here so we want to do some shopping we actually plan to do afterward at bj's which was about 10
minutes down the road so we drive down there we do shopping we're only there gosh like 10 30. they're like ah shoot what are we going to do now so then we went and drove a little longer and went to a doughnut place those were actually well i didn't actually have any but my dad said they're not that bad so we did that and we drove to lego store and it was around 11 30 then something like that we roll up and wouldn't you know uh malls open because it's inside the mall
the mall itself was open but the store wasn't stored in up until noon so we were like what are we gonna do so we walked around the mall for a while because it's warmer in there than it is in the car and yeah yeah yeah because we're just sitting and waiting and then and then you know we're like talking you know and we finally get to the store and they open they opened right on time they did not open two minutes earlier they are strict to the book it's amazing but then you
know we walk in and i asked the question they had the sense of like nope out of stock but they might restock them on tuesday like oh come on very disappointing so yeah i didn't get it well i'm up there very sad didn't get my my christmas surprise i'm not letting this trip die in vain this trip will not go down because during this trip i was also doing something else i was also doing reconnaissance reconnaissance for my january first trip to buy the police station it was a nice
reconnaissance but it was worth it in the end uh we we really i i bought a little polybag of a christmas tree in fact let me show you guys the christmas tree because you know the assembly square has a fountain in it but i replaced it with a christmas tree for the time being because i thought that'd be kind of cool to have and i was really thinking about building one but this then i got this and it's perfectly sized in my opinion not too big it doesn't take the attention away from

Why Amazon Prime has spoiled me
hello wonderful world of youtube it's me alex uh today i'm gonna kind of rant about why i don't like the postal service and why i think they're too slow anyways to start off uh last sunday i ordered a conversion for that clone helmet i think i told you guys about it i'm gonna make a video and upload it about me converting it maybe i'll take a video while doing it i haven't decided uh but put it simply it's gonna be pretty cool now uh the only problem is it hasn't come yet this
was come last friday and then they said oh we're delaying it today because of the holiday i'm like okay that's that's fair saturday rolls around the package is nowhere to be found and i'm like excuse me where's the pack we didn't get it and they don't live on sundays if any of you love the united states you know they don't deliver packages on sundays and then um and now today's monday normally the mail comes around three for me three to four o'clock so i'm hoping it
