EPCOT

Walt Disney World Resort is filled with magic that one can experience, and the parks it has are all wonderful parks. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the parks over the years, and on January 19th, 2025, I got to visit EPCOT once again, the first visit in nearly 3 years.

EPCOT wowed me, and filled me with a sense of wonder when I first visited at 8 years old. I would visit again a few times over the years, and each time (minus my 2022 visit) I would be in love with the park. 2022, the park was in a deep state of construction, reworking the Futureworld Plaza, removing Innoventions West and the fountain in the middle. Coming back to EPCOT in 2025, I would finally get to see the new plaza, and the new Communicore Hall.

Waking up on Sunday, January 19th, my family would wake up to rain in the Orlando area. We were smart, and packed our rain gear. We would reach EPCOT at 10:30 AM, and we would learn of the Festival of the Arts, and when we learned of the limited time food options that were offered. My family decided that we would try as much as possible. One of the first things we would try would be the Rainbow Cake at The Odyssey, but before we could get that we went to Spaceship Earth, to get our first ride of the day.

After Spaceship Earth, we would walk through the new Futureworld Plaza, which somehow took 5 years to build. The landscaping was nice, and seeing the Walt Disney Statue was also cool, but we wouldn’t stick around, as we head to the Odyssey. After our stop for cake, we would head over to The Lands, to ride Soarin’ and Living with the Land. I love these rides, because Living with the Land showcases how we can do better with farming, and Soarin’ got an update to fix the Eiffel Tower and its wonky appearance it famously had. After the Land, we would go to The Seas, and ride Nemo. We were stopped on Nemo for about 10 minutes, but restarted shortly.

After Nemo, we would ride Journey Into Imagination, then begin our rainy world showcase tour, trying the many different foods on the food map. We had lunch in France, and it was very good. The many different rides on the World Showcase, including Ratatouille, and Frozen, were all very fun. Unfortunately, the Mexico ride was closed, which was not an ideal situation. We were waiting all day for our Virtual Queue time on Guardians of the Galaxy, EPCOT’s first and only roller coaster. We had a great time exploring the World Showcase, despite the rain. Trying many different foods was fun, and it was all good. We would eventually make our way back up to the front of the park, where we would get dinner, and Nathan and I would go ride Mission Space, while my mom and Step Dad decided to rest a little after dinner.

Nathan and I got off Mission Space, and were greeted with the news that we could now enter the line for Guardians of the Galaxy, which was very exciting. I have been waiting to ride this ride, as I missed it by a month in 2022. We would wind up waiting for about an hour, which was our longest line of the day. Guardians was so good. It is easily one of the best rides in Orlando, only tron beats it out in my opinion. I also liked the onboard audio, which added a nice touch to the ride. After Guardians, we would watch the closing fireworks, and leave for the night.

EPCOT is still my favorite Disney park, although Magic Kingdom is in a close second with it having Tron and Space Mountain. EPCOT has the best food for sure, and I also like how beautiful it is, it's like walking through a garden with rides. I think if it had one additional ride it would be the perfect Disney Park in Florida.I've attached some photos below, so feel free to take a look.
