Arby's Steak Nuggets

Arby's is nobody's first choice when it comes to a fast food restaurant. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that if I asked you to think of Arby's, you think about a specific Arby's location, not anything on the menu. While Arby's tries to maintain relevance in the modern day, many simply forget about Arby's or even poke fun at its existence. However, I think they might have finally cracked the code with their latest stunt, the Steak Nugget.

When I first heard of the Steak Nugget, I was struck with a sense of curiosity. Who on God's green earth would make a steak nugget? Well dear reader, Arby's decided that for some godforsaken reason that we need to have this abomination of cooking had to not only become a thing, but needed to expand beyond the test markets. It made its way to Sandusky Ohio, where I decided to try it out ASAP to see if I would wind up regretting trying the abomination known as Steak Nugget

I decided on the afternoon of October 6th, 2025 that I should go to Arbys and get me some Steak Nuggets. They offered it in 5 piece, 9 piece, and a sandwich option?? I was baffled by the choice initially, and I still am after eating the nuggets. I ordered the 5 piece nugget meal, which ran me $9.81. I went to the Sandusky Arby's with Audrey, Jillian, Cole, and Nate. Nate also ordered the nuggets, while everyone else ordered other things. I then waited for my meal to come out, and when it finally did, I was filled with curiosity.

After sitting down with everyone, I opened my bag and proceeded to pull out the contents of the 5 piece meal, which was the famous curly fries, my straw, and the ever taunting Steak Nuggets. They came in a little cup that I would have guessed was soup, but no, it was my nuggets. They aren't breaded, and I smelled it. It smelled really good, and I thoroughly began to inspect them. They were small, about the size of two Lego 2x4 bricks stacked on each other, you can see the size in the photos below. I took a bite, aaaaannnndddd.......

It was pretty good. The texture is similar to brisket, and the flavor is actually pretty solid. I took a pic of it, and it has some good red to it on the inside. I was concerned about the quality and taste of these nuggets, thinking it would be dry and flavorless. These were actually pretty decent. My only complaint is that they are pricy, $9.81 for the meal in Sandusky, and you don't get that much meat for the price, however I feel its probably a result of various economic challenges of the 2020s.

We all marveled at the Arby's Steak Nuggets, and as I ate them I began to think it was possibly a good idea. While Audrey had chicken nuggets, and Jillian had a Gyro, Nate and I agreed that the Steak Nuggets were something of a choice to sell.

The question everyone has is, Alex! Would you get the Arby's Steak Nuggets Again? My answer is if they were about $2 cheaper. I would definitely get them again. However, I would not consider it at this time. I do wonder if it will be successful chain wide, because it seems so absurd of a concept that I just don't know if the average, not insane person, would be considering trying it. Of course, I attached pictures below, so please take a look.
