My Thoughts
November 3rd, 2025. 11:24AM EST
Closing weekend was cold and busy. I worked a lot this weekend, but I did get 3 last rides, one on Maverick, one on Steel Vengeance, and one last ride on Top Thrill 2. My brother, Nathan, managed to come out, and we had a good 4 hours together at Cedar Point. Saying goodbye to my associates for the winter was hard, but I know I will see many of them again next season. I will write a full page about my first season working at Cedar Point soon.
I am going to Kings Island this weekend, and I am excited to finish out the Ohio season strong. I am going with my mom, and potentially Nathan as well. This will be a nice trip before IAAPA.
I also am working on a Lego model atm. Waiting for a few more pieces to come in, but it will be soon. Classes are going alright and I have two weeks before "Fall break".

Work yesterday was enjoyable. We didn't actually start until 10, because of a technical issue. This meant I wasn't able to leave until 5:30pm, but I didn't mind. I got to see a little bit of Cedar Point during the off season, which I will forever find interesting.
This weekend I am going to Kings Island with my Mom, and my cousins Charlie, Evie, and Wes. We're going for "closing weekend", which isn't much of aclosing weekend since they're still open for winterfest. I intend to go for that, but I need to finish school first.
I am getting ready for the IAAPA expo, and I am very excited to go. We leave next Thursday, just after class. I can't wait to go to Bucc-ee's and the 8 parks along the way. Expect to see the webpages about the trip go live after I finish the trip, but it will be written as it happens.

I went to work yesterday, and wound up doing the Resort World Tour, visiting Breakers, Express, and Castaway Bay. The invnetory work at these locations was slow, but it was done. Afterwork, I would go to Luke and Josh's after work, and we did some presentation work with Caroline and Ronan, and after we all played Cards Against Humanity.
I woke up feeling a little gorss, and I hope to god its just this weather that came in, its gloomy compared to the last 2 weeks. I don't mind being a little sick for Kings Island, but I do mind being ill for IAAPA, especially since I have dropped a lot of money into it. I also want to make sure that I can enjoy SFoG, FSA, and BGT. I don't care too much for FSO, FSK, or SWO, but if I am ill for Epic I will be very sad.
Lastly, I am due to go out with someone next Tuesday, and I am a little nervous about it. I'm not sure how I feel about her, and I have some complicated feeling about someone else, but I figured that going out wouldn't hurt. I hope that maybe somethings will go right, but if I screw up it wouldn't be different compared to what happened this summer in terms of decision making.

Kings Island with Charlie, Evie, and Wes was a lot of fun. I got to ride a good amount of stuff, and I will elaborate further on my Bonus Weekend Page. We got to go to Ikea and Grandpa's Cheesebarn, which was awesome.
I am thinking of calling off the date I am due to go on tomorrow. I am not feeling it too much, and I honestly just...don't want to go. It's weird.

Work yesterday was cold, and class today was weird. I woke up today with a swelling in my throat. After going to the minute clinic, they gave me some meds that have worked wonders so far. I leave for Orlando tomorrow, and I am very excited. Due to homework and illness I have been so busy before IAAPA, that I am worried I am missing something.
I didn't end up going on that date, because of a migrane I had tuesday night. That set me back a good bit, but with hard work I got back to speed. Its ok though, I...wasn't looking forward to doing it anyways.
Lastly, I am due to go to Menards after class, because I ordered some O27 track for my box car. It was $15, and it looks better than the lionel track I bought.

Today was my last day working for Cedar Point for the 2025 season. I spent it assisting with inventory and teardown at Padoga Gifts. This is standard for retail locations off season. I also picked up a new blue zip up from wardrobe, because it was the last day to do so before 2026. Working all day at Pagoda was fun, we found some things during cleaning that made us chuckle, and moved some things to other locations
Working with the people I did this season was enjoyable. I got to see so much of the park, even while kept at Area 1. I helped thousands of people, and I know I did a good job, afterall I got no write ups. To the many people I worked with this season, I appreciate your hard work and thank you for making Redemption what it was. Seeing some of the people I worked with all summer for the last time this season was a sad sight, because I really do care about them deeply, especially Max, who I know I annoyed quite a bit, but you were always one of the people who helped me make right choices during my early weeks. Beth and Becka, I can't wait to see you two next, I know I will see you around Sandusky.
Lastly, during lunch, I spotted a Cooper's Hawk in a tree. It was actually surprising, as it swooped very low over me, only about a foot or so above my head. I got a nice picture of it, and I hope you guys like it.

IAAPA 2025 was amazing. I have so much to write about, and it will be coming in the coming week or so. Epic is my new favorite park, and Stardust has tied with TT2 as my favorite. All the unique people I met, and the cool things I saw will be covered soon.
